Kids Voice is an excellent program. Parents and children should attend if given the opportunity.
Higher Ground
Higher Ground is a good program for the most part. The
instructors are committed to the program and work hard for the
participants. The negatives points listed below are in no way directed
at the instructors.
- It
is stated many times, that the judges do not have the power to force
mom or dad to do anything. This is foolishness. I only have experience
with Judge Russell, in Johnson County, but she is directly responsible
for some of the "high conflict" cases dragging on for years and the
increased conflict that results. If judges can't enforce their rulings,
why do we have Judges?
- It was stated, that even
if your ex-spouse is abusive to your children, you just have to learn
how to talk to him / her and to deal with it. This is absolutely
absurd. What are the child protection laws for in Kansas?
